What Makes Attorney David S. Williams Uniquely Qualified To Represent You?

In 1992, Mr. Williams earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas. During law school, Mr. Williams represented criminal clients in Dallas County Court through the SMU School of Law Criminal Clinic, winning his first jury trial while in law school. Also during law school, Mr. Williams was a legal intern with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and a law clerk with the Bird-Skibell firm in Dallas.

After law school, Mr. Williams was employed as an assistant indigent defender with the Florida Indigent Defender’s Office, where he obtained extensive criminal jury trial experience. He also worked for the Harrell-Wiltshire law firm in Pensacola, Florida. After moving to Shreveport, Mr. Williams was employed by the Barlow Hardtner law firm and served as a conflict attorney for the Caddo Parish Indigent Public Defender Board. In 1995, he opened the law firm which is now The Law Offices of Williams & Williams, PLC. Mr. Williams has also served as trial counsel in family law, insurance defense and personal injury cases in Louisiana, Texas, and Florida. Mr. Williams represents clients in criminal defense, personal injury, and family law.

David S. Williams was raised in Aurora, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. He attended the University of Northern Colorado, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. In 1985, Mr. Williams earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The Garvin School of International Business AKA Thunderbird in Glendale, Arizona.

Mr. Williams served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps and a Commissioned Officer in the United States Navy. He received a Meritorious Mast while serving in the Marine Corps and all his promotions were based on merit. While serving in the Navy, he was a surface warfare officer and was rated in the top 1% of officers on the aircraft carrier, USS Midway, CV-41. Mr. Williams was chosen to serve as Officer of the Deck on the Bridge of USS Military during general quarters (imminent battle).
